Fried Vegetables

3/4 cup dried black eyed peas (soaked in water overnight)
1 pound cubed beef
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 liter water
1 can fried vegetables
5 dried lemons
oil to cook the meat and onions in

Brown onions and beef in oil. Add black eyed peas and water. Poke holes in dried lemons and add to pot. Cook until the black eyed peas are tender. Add can of fried vegetables. Simmer for 30 minutes or longer to allow flavors to meld together. Serve over rice.

* serve with yogurt salad on the side. Mix plain yogurt, grated cucumber, salt and garlic (to taste).
